Renewing your scholarship on Bold.org is simple and flexible. Whether you’re using funds from a previous donation, making a new contribution, or combining both, the process starts the same way for everyone.

➊ Log in & Click Renew

  • Log in to your Donor Dashboard

  • Find the scholarship you'd like to renew

  • Click the "Renew" button to get started

➋ Set the Award Date

Choose your new announcement date.

  • The earliest possible award date is 4 months from today

  • We recommend keeping applications open for 6–12 months to give students time to apply

➌ Update Scholarship Details

Before funding, you’ll have the option to review and adjust:

  • Number of winners

  • Award amount per winner

  • Ranking toggle if you’d like to give different amounts to different places

You can keep your original details or make changes to fit your goals.

➍ Choose a Funding Option

You’ll be prompted to fund your renewal using one of three flexible options:

💳 Make a New Donation

  • Pay by credit card or ACH

  • Scholarships go live within the hour for credit card payments, or ~5 business days for ACH

💸 Use Fund + Add a New Donation

If your Fund Balance covers part, but not all, of your desired renewal:

  • Use your existing Fund Balance first

  • Add the remaining amount via credit card or ACH

  • Your scholarship will go live once the full amount has been received

💰 Use Your Existing Fund Balance

  • If you’ve already added money to your Donor Fund, select “Use Fund Balance” at checkout

  • No new payment is needed if the fund fully covers your renewal
