Renewing your scholarship on Bold.org is simple and flexible, whether you're using funds from a previous fundraiser, making a digital donation, or contributing offline. Follow these steps to keep your scholarship active and continue making a lasting impact.
Step 1: Log in & Click Renew
To begin renewing your scholarship:
Log in to your Bold.org Donor Account.
Navigate to the Donor Dashboard to find all your scholarships and funds.
Locate the specific scholarship you wish to renew.
Click the "Renew" button on the scholarship to begin the process.
Step 2: Set the Award Date
You’ll be directed to the funding page for your scholarship, where you’ll need to select the new award date.
We recommend keeping the application period open for 6 to 12 months to give applicants ample time to apply, but you can select a date that best fits your schedule. The earliest possible date is four months from today. For instance, if today is December 1st, the soonest award date you can choose is April 1st.
Step 3: Adjust Scholarship Details
Here, you'll have the flexibility to review and update the key details of your scholarship:
Number of winners: You can retain the same number of winners or adjust it to suit your goals.
Scholarship amount: Update the award amount for each winner. Whether you want to increase, decrease, or keep the same amount, you can make the necessary changes at this step.
For instance, if you originally awarded $500 to one winner, you can change that to another amount or keep it the same.
If you have more than 2 winners, you can toggle on the option to rank them, allowing you to award different amounts for each place.
Step 4: Choose Your Payment Method
When renewing your scholarship, you have a few payment options:
Use fundraiser credits: If you have funds available from a previous fundraiser, you can apply them to renew the scholarship.
Donate via credit card, ACH or DAF: You can also make a direct payment using a credit card, ACH, or a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).

Step 5: Publish & Go Live
After confirming all the details and donation information, if you’re using a credit card or fundraiser credit, your scholarship will go live immediately, and applications will begin accepting within the hour. Please allow 3-5 business days for ACH payments to be processed before the scholarship goes live.
