These directions are for scholarship organizers who are ready to publish their scholarship drafts using ACH, credit card, or fundraiser credits. Follow these steps to fund your scholarship through any of these methods.
All scholarships will go live once the donation has been processed. For ACH, this takes 3-5 business days, while credit card and fundraiser contributions typically result in the scholarship going live within the hour. You will receive an email notification once the scholarship is live and accepting applications.
Below are step-by-step instructions for three funding options:
1. Funding Your Scholarship via Credit Card or ACH Donation
To fund your scholarship using a credit card or ACH donation, follow these steps:
Log into your Bold.org Donor Account and click Dashboard at the top of the page.
Click the Review Proposal button on your scholarship draft.
At the top of the page, click the big green button that says Fund Your Scholarship.
Confirm the scholarship amount and the number of winners.
Click "Continue to payment" to choose your donation method:
ACH: Takes 3-5 business days, depending on your bank.
Credit Card: Typically processed instantly.
Complete the donation process to finalize the funding of your scholarship.
2. Funding Your Scholarship Using Your Fundraiser
If you’re funding your scholarship using contributions from a fundraiser, follow these instructions:
Log into your Bold.org Donor Account and click Dashboard.
Click Review Proposal on your scholarship draft (make sure you're clicking on the scholarship, not the fundraiser itself).
Click the green Fund Your Scholarship button at the top of the page.
Confirm the scholarship amount and the number of winners.
Scroll to the bottom and input the amount of money from the Fund that you wish to apply from your fundraiser.
If you select the entire scholarship amount, you can click "Publish scholarship now" to publish the scholarship immediately.
3. Funding Your Scholarship with a Combination of Fundraiser Credit and Credit Card or ACH Donation
To combine funds from your fundraiser and a credit card or ACH, follow these steps:
Log into your Bold.org Donor Account and click Dashboard at the top of the page.
Click the Review Proposal button on your scholarship draft.
At the top of the page, click the big green button that says Fund Your Scholarship.
Confirm the scholarship amount and the number of winners.
Scroll to the bottom and input the amount of money from the Fund that you wish to apply from your fundraiser.
Click "Continue to payment" to apply for the fundraising credit; the remaining balance will be displayed.
Choose your donation method for the remaining balance:
ACH: Takes 3-5 business days, depending on your bank.
Credit Card: Typically processed instantly.
Complete the donation process to finalize the funding of your scholarship.
