Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) offer a tax-efficient way for individuals aged 70½ and older to donate directly from their IRA to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization like the Bold Foundation.
QCDs can count toward your required minimum distributions (RMDs) and may reduce your taxable income, even if you don’t itemize deductions.
🔹 Eligibility for QCDs
To make a Qualified Charitable Distribution:
You must be age 70½ or older at the time of the distribution.
The distribution must be made directly from your IRA (not from another retirement plan).
The recipient must be a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity (not a donor-advised fund or private foundation).
