You can contribute directly from your donor-advised fund (DAF) on Bold.org using DAFpay, powered by Chariot. DAFpay connects securely to more than 1,100 DAF providers and ensures your donation is processed automatically and recorded in the Bold.org system so we can steward and allocate your gift without delay.
When you donate on Bold.org—whether you’re funding a scholarship or contributing to a scholarship fund—you’ll also have the option to include an additional tax-deductible donation to the Bold Foundation, which helps keep Bold.org free for students. These donations are 100% tax deductible, and most donors choose to contribute an additional 10–20% of their primary donation. Learn more about donating to the Bold Foundation.
How to Donate Using DAFpay
1. When you’re ready to fund a scholarship or make a donation, select the “Donor Advised Fund” method
2. Then click the blue “DAFpay | Donor Advised Fund” button to open the secure DAFpay window.
3. Choose your DAF provider, log in, and submit your donation.
4. Once submitted, you’ll see a confirmation message on Bold.org and receive an email confirming that your grant request is being processed.
Please Note:
The Bold Foundation is enrolled with EFT for most major DAF sponsors. Processing times vary by provider, but most donations are completed within five business days and rarely take more than two weeks.
You won’t see your donation reflected on the scholarship or fund page—or see your scholarship published—until the payment has fully processed. We’ll send you a confirmation as soon as your donation is complete.

Processing Fee
Bold.org does not charge any additional fee for using DAFpay.
Chariot, the platform powering DAFpay, applies a 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee for facilitating DAF transactions, similar to standard credit card processing.
