Creating a scholarship on Bold.org is a meaningful way to support students and the causes you care about. To get started, you'll submit a proposal outlining your vision, then schedule an onboarding call with our Donor Team.
Step 1: Create a Bold.org Donor Account
Before you can propose a scholarship, you'll need to create a donor account. If you haven't signed up yet, Get Started Here. After verifying your email, log in and navigate to your donor dashboard.
Step 2: Propose a Scholarship
Once you're on your donor dashboard, click Create a Scholarship in the top-right corner. This will guide you through a series of questions that help our Donor Team draft your scholarship proposal.
Questions you'll answer in the proposal flow
Describe your scholarship idea: Share as many details as possible so our Donor Team can prepare a full proposal for your approval.
Describe your ideal applicant: Tell us what qualities, interests, or experiences you want to prioritize.
Award timing: Let us know if you'd like the scholarship awarded around a specific event or date.
Essay requirement (optional): Choose whether applicants should submit an essay.
Additional file submissions (optional): Request images or other supporting materials if desired.
Scholarship name: Choose a name for your scholarship.
Number of winners: Decide how many students will receive the award.
Award amount: Set the amount each winner will receive.
Open to contributions: Indicate whether other donors can contribute to your scholarship.
Our Donor Team will review your responses and prepare a full proposal for your approval.
Step 3: Finalize Your Proposal and Schedule an Onboarding Call
After submitting your proposal, you'll see a confirmation screen with a link to schedule a 15-minute onboarding call with our Donor Team.
During this call, you'll:
Meet your dedicated donor relations manager

Prepare your scholarship for publishing
